Description
The Nakashs of Cheriyal (Andhra Pradesh) have a predominance of red colour in the background of their narrative scrolls. Earlier the scrolls played the role of the visual medium and the songs of the bards were the audio medium. Today, the Nakashs have adapted their art to be able to paint on any surface.
